Imagine It. Achieve It. Become It!

Mr. John Lemaire, Shelly LeJeune and other Charter Members, blind themselves, imagined a rehabilitation training center for the blind in Louisiana. The Affiliated Blind of Louisiana, Inc membership organization was founded in 1983. This membership organization through fund raisers, hard work, and prayer achieved their goal. They purchased the property that is today the ABL Training Center.

The ABL Training Center has become a state of the art facility instructing thousands of visually impaired, blind and Deaf-Blind individuals since their inception. Now, ABL is still growing strong, providing premiere programs and services.
